Plan your pickup and your first stop
A Coruña stands on a narrow isthmus in Galicia, with the Tower of Hercules on its headland and a glassed seafront taking the Atlantic weather full on.
Rain is not a failed day here; it is the climate. The old streets and the tower walk are for people on foot. A campervan uses the city as a gate to the Costa da Morte, west toward Cape Finisterre, or south into the rías on the way to Santiago.
This is the green north, as far from the Spanish meseta as a mainland road can feel: eucalyptus, granite, and fishing towns whose harbours were not drawn for a motorhome. Sleep back from the headland, where the wind drops, and come in for the glass galleries when the light breaks.
The tower headland is a walk with a view, not a motorhome turnaround. Leave the van before the isthmus gets petty.
Coast roads are slower than the map once every mirador has a car in it. Start early if Cape Finisterre is the point.
Wind on the exposed camping terraces is the night’s main event. A lower body behind a hedge sleeps; a tall one on the cliff edge hums until morning.
Your next adventure is a few clicks away.
