Plan your pickup and your first stop
Warendorf is the Münsterland horse town on the Ems, and the handover sits out by the Holzbach rather than among the riding yards of the old centre.
Am Holzbach is the kind of edge address this start has: water, sheds, and a quick join to the B64. The centre is brick, saddles and a market you walk. The country around is avenues, moated houses and flat fields that were made for a bicycle and remain kind to a van that stays on the paved road.
Münster is west, and its inner city keeps an Umweltzone, so a green sticker matters if you drive in. It does not matter for leaving Warendorf toward the Ems villages or south toward the A2. The landscape has almost no gradient. Wind and farm traffic are the events.
Park at the edge and walk the centre. Event days in the riding calendar fill the town with trailers, which is a reason to be early or to be elsewhere.
If Münster is the visit, fit the green Umweltplakette before the city. The Prinzipalmarkt is pedestrian, so the sticker gets you to a car park, not to the square.
Avenues of the Münsterland look like picnic roads and are often private or protected at the verge. Overnight on a signed pitch. A moat is not a campsite.
