Malmö is Skåne’s city on the Öresund, tied to Copenhagen by a bridge that charges a toll and can close in high wind.

A campervan collected here has to treat that crossing as a decision, especially if the vehicle is tall. The region itself is flatter and milder than the rest of Sweden: beaches, farmland and short distances, closer in feeling to the continent than to the forest interior. Ferries at Trelleborg and Ystad are the other ways toward Germany or Poland, and they are separate vehicle bookings from a casual drive to the beach.

Driving is on the right. A Malmö start is southern and maritime. It is not a Stockholm archipelago start and not a northern winter start. A city handover is not every block in the Western Harbour.
