Limassol is the south-coast city, with a long promenade, a marina and a working commercial port, and older streets set just inland from the water.
Ancient Kourion lies west along the cliffs. North of the city the road climbs toward the Troodos, so the same base can be a seafront day or the start of a mountain morning.
The port approaches are for commercial traffic. The camper life of the city is the Molos walk and a pitch outside the marina district, with supplies bought here before any climb.
Keep the vehicle out of the commercial port lanes. Follow the promenade and marina signs for the visitor side of town.
If the Troodos are tomorrow, buy food and water on the coast, where the shops are larger.
Do the old-town walk early, and the cliff road to Kourion before the tour buses settle in for the afternoon.
