A local perspective
Paris rewards a neighborhood choice more than a hunt for a generic city center.
The Right Bank around the Louvre and Opera is walkable to museums, but the streets are busy late. The Left Bank in Saint-Germain and the Latin Quarter is compact and good on foot, with smaller hotels and more evening noise. Le Marais suits travelers who want food and shops without a long metro ride. For a quieter base, the 7th and the residential parts of the 16th trade nightlife for space.
Trains from Charles de Gaulle and Orly land at central stations, so a hotel near a direct RER or metro line often matters more than a famous arrondissement name. This page explains those tradeoffs. It does not quote rates, hold rooms, or check which partners have space.
Find your fit
A hotel is the simpler handover: reception, a fixed room, and fewer house rules.
An apartment can fit a longer stay or a family, but check-in is often a lockbox and the building may restrict guests. A serviced apartment sits between the two. None of these labels tells you the price or whether a room is free. Those answers belong on the partner site after you continue.
Pick the area before you pick a brand.
If you will use the metro at night, stay near a line that runs to your station, and avoid assuming every central pin is quiet. Budget time for Gare du Nord if you have a rail connection. Planet Rental Travel does not take the booking. When a real offer is active, the button leaves this site.
