Those streets are for people walking. The arrival points that matter to a camper are the passenger port, busy with Helsinki ferries, and the airport south of the centre. You leave the vehicle at an outer pitch and walk in through the gates in the morning.
Cruise days add coaches to the same approaches the ferry uses. Kadriorg and the park are the easier outdoor hour when the old town is saturated, and they are still a walk or a short city hop from a well-chosen pitch.
If you land by sea, allow time for the port exit before you try to see the old town.
If you land by air, confirm the supplier’s meeting point south of the centre and drive to the pitch first.
