Hiring a campervan in Miami

Miami is the city collection on a flat Atlantic coast, humid and busy, with beach districts a motorhome should not wander.

Everglades National Park is the national park that belongs to this start. It is close by western standards and still a full day of slow roads, water, and wildlife, not a backdrop for the sand. Biscayne is mostly water. The Florida Keys continue south as one road of bridges, pretty and poor at absorbing a rushed timetable. Other celebrated parks in the United States are a different holiday from here.

The handover is Miami, the named city. It is not a causeway pull-off and not an Everglades trailhead.

A few things worth knowing

  1. 01

Give the Everglades their own day, with a full tank and a realistic sense of insects and heat.

  2. 02

If you drive the Keys, treat the trip as an out-and-back plan. Do not add it to an Everglades morning.

  3. 03

Book the night. Miami does not reward a van that arrives hoping for a quiet street.
